page contents What’s cool for kids at Igloo… | mummy rates it

With half term, the festival season and ‘Summer’ just around the corner it’s time to give the kids’ wardrobe an update – well, that’s my excuse anyway! Igloo has rails (and pages) full of gorgeous, unique clothes and essential accessories that you won’t find on the High Street. I’ve picked out my favourite pieces…

This post is written in partnership with Igloo. I personally selected the items to feature.

For girls

The Aya Naya Beate Dress, £47.50
Simple, pretty and delicate it’s so refreshing to find a young girl’s dress in this soft green. The ruche detailing at the top with the mother of pearl buttons make it a great dress for a special occasion or for those warm, summer evenings (hey, we can dream). The natural fabrics used by Aya Naya make this a great choice for keeping your little Missy nice and comfy.

Squids Sunglasses In Cool Water Green, £25
These sunnies are a must for protecting young eyes. As well as looking super cool the wrap-around style gives great protection and they even float in the water!

Squids sunglassesFor boys

Mini A Ture Ketil T-shirt in Dutch Blue, £28.75
The Danes are great at making really cool TV series and fab clothes. In particular I love this T-shirt by Mini A Ture in Dutch Blue. It nods to this season’s nautical trend and will go with anything and everything – jeans, shorts and smart trousers for a wedding. It rocks!

Splash About Float Jacket in Navy Dots, £16.50
The last thing you need to be doing when you finally get away is to start shopping for water safety equipment. I spotted, excuse the pun, this very handy jacket with with 16 easy-to-use removable floats in Igloo’s sale. Grab it now!

For festivals

Hunter Kids’ First Wellies in Fuchsia, £23
If they’re good enough for Mummy then I think it’s only right that little festie goers get to sport some trendy wellies too. These Hunters are hardy and hip!

Tyrrell Katz Pirates Umbrella, £12.95
Let’s face facts no festival is rain-free so an umbrella is a must. I reckon this unique pirate umbrella will keep them smiling whatever the weather. And hey, for those rare moments when the sun does shine you can use it as a parasol!

Sunsense Toddler Milk Roll On SPF50, £11.70
Time spent outdoors means you’ll need a reliable sun screen. I’m a huge Sunsense fan both for use on myself and the kids. We used the sun milk on our kids when we holidayed in a very hot and sunny Goa. It was 32C every day but neither burnt and even my son with his sensitive, eczema-prone skin was trouble free. The roll-on makes it really easy and fun to apply – so much so that it became known as ‘tickly sun cream’.
