Do you love a challenge? I know I do. At the moment I’m taking part in NaNoWriMo but not content with writing 1,667 words per day I’m also going to sign up to The Organised Housewife’s Christmas series, doing one task a day (rather than all of them at the last moment).
Grey Donegal Bow Tie - Bow Ties
So today, one day before the official launch, I thought I’d start by browsing around for some online goodies to fill a gentleman’s stocking. Here are 10 little gifts that will bring some Christmas cheer…

1. Isotoner SmarTouch Gloves from Firebox, £14.99.
Touch screen phones don’t work when you’re wearing normal gloves, however, these nifty gloves allow the user to use their touch screen and keep their fingers toasty.

2. Navy plain braces, Topman, £10
Dapper up your gent with some old-school style braces. Perfect with No.3…

3. Grey Donegal Bow Tie, Topman, £10
Move over Professor – the bow tie is back on the high street – think Matt Smith. OK, you’ve thought about him – now move on.

4. Rainbow Trust Gift Card, £10
The gift that keeps on giving. Give him a gift card and he can select a gift for the children and families who are looked after by The Rainbow Trust.
Emporio Armani Underwear
5. Emporio Armani Basic Stretch Cotton Brief, £13.60
Who doesn’t love a man in designer pants? Get your wearing Armani underwear and you’ll both have big smiles on your faces!

6. Wombles Talking Mug, £4.99 Underground and overground – we’re big time Wombles fans in our house so this mug, which burst into song when you pick it up, is a must.

7. Bungee Bird Feeder, £8
How cute is this bird feeder? The tweetie-pies will love it and your sweetie will too!

8. Splat Stan, £8.50
No stocking is complete without some novelty goodies. How about Splat Stan a fun and funky place mat – perfect for blinging up the office desk (and strangely therapeutic).

9. Cotton Rich Contrast Toe Robin Socks, £3.50
Ho, ho, ho. It’s not Christmas without giving a pair of novelty socks. He can wear these ones when he hangs out the bird feeder!

10. Woodspice Soap On A Rope Gift, £9.50
Socks? Check. Right now you need to finish off the stocking with smellies. They are obligatory. In this case take a look at good old M&S who have gone old school cool with Soap On A Rope.

  1. I’m in the midst of husband stocking-filler hell. Have undies and a fancy ice cream scoop (he adores ice cream) so far. Thinking of the aftershave balm and shower gel to match his aftershave but then I’m stuck. He hates ‘stuff’ so everything has to have a purpose. No novelty gifts allowed! He’s a bloody pain.

    • Mmmm that makes things tricky for a stocking if he doesn’t like novelty things. There was a shop called ‘The bloke shop’ last year in Croydon (i’m serious) it was full of novelty stuff but some practical stuff too. Might be online?..
