Winter is nearly upon us and it’s time to start thinking about coats, hats and boots. It’s also time to start thinking about party outfits and the apres party ones too! Linking-in with a competition on Amy Antoinette’s fab lifestyle blog, here are three winter outfits for day, night and bed – all styled using a range of garments from Next’s winter 2012 collection.

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” ~ Coco Chanel

Just because you’re having to keep warm there’s no need to put style to one side. Instead, how about investing in a stylish and fashionable coat and adding some extra drama with bright accessories? This look would be great for the school run or for meeting a bunch of girlfriends for a coffee.

I love the look of Next’s Grey Knit Cardigan Coat, £70 – their take on the whole ‘boyfriend’ fashion thing where you’ve supposedly borrowed something from your ‘man’. This slouchy coat is effortlessly stylish – just right for a great casual look. To brighten up and contrast with the grey I would add a bit of sunshine with hints of yellow. For example, I’d carry this designer-looking Ochre Croc Effect Trapeze Bag, £32 and add further pazazz with the Aztec Print Neon scarf , £25. CLICK TO ENLARGE.

Lace is big news this season but you need to get the balance right or it can look OTT. How about trying lace with this season’s must-have trouser – the tapered, ankle grazer? Next’s lace tapered trousers, £42 would look stunning worn with the sleeveless lace top, £14 and the vintage-style nude, textured jacket, £45. This jacket is a great buy as its nude colour will mean it can go with everything from jeans and shorts to being worn over the top of dresses. My tip? Don’t forget to add some interest with your accessories. This cute feather clutch, £24 is sure to have everyone asking where you got it. I also love Next’s lace shoots, £45 – yes you read that right – shoots! CLICK TO ENLARGE.

When all that partying has got the better of you, or you just fancy a cosy night-in make sure you’ve got some nightwear that you’d be proud to be seen in. Add a touch of playfulness to your wardrobe with Next’s Animal Super Soft Robe, £26 – it’s just calling out to be worn and keep you warm. Underneath you could wear the black lace vests and shorts, £16 each – just the right side of sexy (and the right side of warm too!) Finally, don’t forget your feet- after all that partying they deserve to be pampered and what nicer way than being tucked up in cute and fluffy pom pom slipper boots £16 CLICK TO ENLARGE.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my Winter Wardrobe picks from Next’s Winter 2012 Collection. If you fancy having a go at the competition and bagging £500 of vouchers then head on over to Amy’s blog for more details. Good luck!
